Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who lives and works in Pennsylvania. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I have been involved in the human potential movement since 1989 and have been working as a coach and counselor for the past 10 years. I work with men and women ages 18 and up who are struggling with family, career, and life transition issues.
In our first session we will talk about your background and the events that led you to where you are now. We'll then discuss any questions you may have about therapy. We will then address the specific issues you want to discuss, begin to design a plan that will address your concerns, and create a process that will determine the steps you will take in subsequent sessions.
I have worked with a wide variety of people at different stages of their lives. I have coached Division 1 NCAA Collegiate Athletes, Counseled Graduate students getting their PhDs, and worked with Business owners looking to transition to retirement. Transitions are a challenge for everyone, particularly people who have enjoyed success in their field. In many cases the skills, knowledge and talents that allow people to succeed are not the same skills that will take them to the next level. We will look at the elements that led to your success and develop a process that will reveal the next steps you need to take.
I’ve been using Positive Psychology in my practice for the past five years. It helps clients reposition the challenges and setbacks in their life. We’ll use Positive Psychology to leverage your individual traits to make you more effective in your personal and professional life. We’ll start with your current thoughts and feelings to understand how you arrived at your current situation, and design a new context for your journey forward, which will generate actions you can take that will help you lead a more satisfying life.
