Hi, my name is Jess. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I received my Master's in Social Welfare from UCLA and have been practicing for 3 1/2 years. During that time I have provided residential and in home therapy to individuals experiencing serious mental illnesses. I currently provide telehealth therapy to adult individuals, as well as working as an Emergency Department Social Worker at a local hospital.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will get to know each other through discussion of what brings you to therapy, what to expect from the process, and how I can use my experience and training to assist you. I will gather necessary historical information from you to facilitate treatment, but you should use this time to ask questions, address any concerns you may have about the therapeutic process, and share what you feel is most important about yourself and your motivation for seeking therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As someone who has benefited from therapy myself, I became a social worker to give back to my community, and providing therapy allows me to assist others in navigating through personal crises and living with mental illness. I have developed a toolbox of therapy interventions and coping skills to assist you in making the necessary changes to live a life based on your personal values, rather than ruled by your symptoms.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy helping people stabilize after a crisis - whether that is a recent loss, a major life transition, or new or worsening mental health symptoms - and develop the skills necessary to succeed long term. In particular, I have experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community across all age ranges.
