About me

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years of experience helping adults and couples work through anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions. My style is warm, real, and supportive, the kind of space where you can take a breath, be yourself, and not feel judged. I work collaboratively, pulling from CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and person-centered approaches to support your goals. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need someone steady to talk things through, we’ll move at your pace and figure it out together. Therapy can feel like a big step, I’m here to make it feel less intimidating and more like a real, healing connection.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in and start exploring what feels most important to you right now. I’ll ask questions to help me understand what you’ve been carrying, emotionally, mentally, and in your day-to-day life, so I can get a clear sense of how to support you. There’s no pressure to have it all perfectly figured out. Just come as you are. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and ready to take that next step forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’ve worked in a wide range of settings over the years — from hospitals to private practice — which gives me a solid foundation and the flexibility to meet clients wherever they are. People often tell me I’m easy to talk to. I’m friendly, down-to-earth, and I don’t judge. You can bring in the messy stuff , the real stuff, and I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and honesty. I’m comfortable sitting with the difficult, the hard things, when they come up, but I’ll never push you before you’re ready. We move at your pace, together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You might be feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or just plain tired, of your thoughts, your relationships, your past, or the pressure to keep it all together. Maybe you’re going through a life change, grieving something (or someone), or working hard to break old patterns. My clients are thoughtful, often hard on themselves, and ready (or at least curious) to start doing the inner work. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you just need to show up, and we’ll take it from there together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you notice the thoughts that might be keeping you stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed — and then we figure out how to shift them. We look at the patterns together, without judgment, and work on tools that actually make a difference in how you feel day-to-day. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, clear, and empowered in your daily life.

Grief Therapy

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a straight line, and I meet you wherever you are in that process. Whether you’re navigating a recent loss or something that’s been lingering for years, we’ll work together to honor your feelings, find ways to cope, and move through the pain at your own pace. I offer space for both the tears and the silence, without rushing or trying to force closure.

Supportive

Sometimes what we need most is someone in our corner, especially when life feels overwhelming or isolating. In supportive therapy, I offer a steady presence, grounded guidance, and space for you to talk things out. We work on building your strengths, reducing distress, and helping you feel more emotionally supported as you move forward.

Psychodynamic

Our past experiences shape how we show up in the present , often without us even realizing it. In psychodynamic work, we gently explore those deeper patterns, unconscious beliefs, and early relationships that might still be influencing your emotions or behavior today. The goal isn’t to dig for the sake of digging, it’s to help you understand yourself better and create more freedom and choice in your life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is about learning to slow down, notice what’s really happening inside you, and respond rather than react. Whether we’re using breathing, grounding, or just mindful awareness of your thoughts, this approach helps you get out of autopilot and reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner calm. It’s not about perfection — it’s about presence.
