New to Grow
Great to meet you! Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a strong clinical background supporting individuals and couples through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. I have a MAEDS from Seton Hall and my training in counseling has equipped me with evidence-based approaches to treatment. I specialize in treating co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, divorce and life transitions.
Clients can expect to feel welcomed, supported and heard during their first session. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can share at their own pace. I will use open questions to learn about a client's symptoms, stressors and patterns they have been experiencing. This session is more about information-gathering and to answer any questions the client has about the process of therapy.
My approach stands out because I take a person centered stance combined with active listening, empathy and validation of the issues and concerns of my client. I am eclectic in my work with clients, using mostly client-centered, DBT and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques depending on the specific needs of my client.
My ideal clients are adults who may be experiencing difficult life transitions including loss, divorce, parenting, career change and retirement. I have experience in helping clients manage symptoms of mood disorders, trauma and generalized anxiety disorder. My expertise also involves helping clients create balance in their lives, set healthy emotional, personal and relationship boundaries, increase self-esteem and self-confidence and recover from codependence.
