I am a family and marriage therapist licensed in New Jersey with over 8 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. I have my Masters in Counseling from William Paterson University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and diagnosis including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parent coaching, career challenges, life changes, ODD, autism, and ADHD. I have also worked in crisis counseling. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and client-centered therapies. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My goal is to help you be your best self. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will discuss background history and current issues that bring you into therapy. Together in the first session we will discuss what you would like to gain from sessions and what goals you would like to achieve for yourself.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

In therapy, I use a client-centered and solution-focused approach. I use a psychodynamic approach coupled with cognitive behavioral therapy or dialectical behavior therapy techniques. I also use motivational interviewing and mindfulness training. Since therapy is client-centered, we discuss which techniques the client is comfortable with and which they feel will work best for them as each client is different.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is working with adults with relationship struggles. I also have a lot of experience working with clients with overwhelming feelings, depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety. I have years of working with CBT techniques to help clients combat their anxiety and depression. I also have many years of experience working with children/teens and their families to navigate the challenges of mental health issues as well as helping children navigate through trauma (for example divorce or bullying). I have worked extensively with children and teens with autism as well. I also have a lot of expertise in dealing with behavior management. I also have extensive expereince working with the LGBTQ+ population.
