My objective is to help you restore and maintain long-lasting well-being and independence, with the ability to utilize skills learned independently and successfully. We will review ethical standards of practice, including treatment guidelines and limitations. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for me to share my therapeutic approach. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting or overwhelming. My role is to walk alongside you, helping ease anxiety and provide clarity as you explore new paths and possibilities. Furthermore, we will discuss your needs, assess your concerns through symptom exploration, and gather information to create a personalized treatment plan.
My strength as a provider is rooted in compassion, empathy and care. It draws from ongoing experience in diverse settings, with the ability to listen to your unique story without making judgements. I strive to be relatable and make therapy engaging, ensuring that I focus not only on overcoming challenges but also on celebrating the positive aspects of life.
I primarily work with adults navigating trauma, burnout, and life transitions, with a focus on supporting sensitive individuals in an overstimulating world. While I am comfortable working with diverse populations across all ages, my primary clinical focus spans adolescence through older adulthood. Moreover, in my practice, I am especially passionate about working with individuals facing complex life transitions and emotional challenges. I am particularly drawn to supporting those experiencing life-stage stressors that feel overwhelming. I work well with clients managing mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as those experiencing adjustment difficulties related to trauma, role changes, or significant life events. I also support individuals in crisis who are seeking stabilization, clarity, and practical coping tools. Additionally, I enjoy helping clients struggling with work–life balance and emotional distress and guiding them from a victim mindset toward a survivor identity. Overall, I am committed to providing compassionate, structured care to those seeking healing, stability, and empowerment during pivotal seasons of life. If you are visiting this site, it likely means you are seriously considering therapy. You should feel proud of yourself for seeking support and taking this brave step forward, and I encourage you to reach out.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been a foundational treatment modality in my clinical work. My experience with CBT has shaped the way I conceptualize patient concerns, structure sessions, and support meaningful, measurable change. I value CBT for its evidence-based framework, collaborative nature, and practical tools that empower patients to better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Strength-Based
My clinical work is grounded in a strength-based treatment approach, which focuses on identifying, affirming, and building upon each patient’s existing abilities, resilience, and internal resources. Rather than centering solely on deficits or pathology, I intentionally highlight patients’ coping skills, past successes, cultural values, support systems, and personal strengths as foundational tools for growth and healing. Overall, my use of the strength-based treatment modality promotes empowerment, resilience, and meaningful change by honoring patient’s inherent capacity for growth.
Psychoeducation
I integrate psychoeducation to help normalize therapeutic experiences, reduce stigma, and empower patients to take an active role in their own care. In incorporating psychoeducation, it offers insight into the underlying science of mental health in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. My goal is to help patients make informed connections between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall functioning. I believe psychoeducation is a powerful tool in the therapeutic process.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as a goal-oriented, collaborative treatment approach that emphasizes clients’ strengths and existing resources. Moreover, this modality has shown me that meaningful change can occur when clients are supported in identifying what is already working in their lives and building upon those successes. Therefore, I use SFBT by helping clients clarify their goals early in treatment and define what improvement would realistically look like for them. It aligns with my belief that clients are the experts in their own lives, and that therapy can be both efficient and impactful when we focus on practical solutions and achievable steps toward change.
