Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker based in the State of Virginia. I received my Masters degree from NC A&T State University & UNC Greensboro Joint Social Work Masters Program . I have been practicing 16 years. I have worked with children, adults, and Geriatric populations. My practice also includes caring for family members diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer’s, grief, and bereavement matters. I help clients to become empowered, and less alone.

I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental, environment. I promote utilizing coping strategies, self-care focusing on sleep, nutrition and exercise.

I enjoy working with adults whom are dealing with depression, anxiety, while adapting to live transitions. My clients are ready to make a change and address these challenges. I find clients just need someone to talk to, and be present.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I’ll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better “.

Supportive

I utilize talk therapy and Supportive Therapy approaches. I find just being present and listening with no judgement is very empowering for clients.

Strength-Based

I have utilize strength based approach Therapy with my Clients and it to be very effective. Clients start to look what is positive instead of negative.
