Kinga Lewinski

(she/her)

LPC, 7 years of experience

I am an empathetic yet direct therapist who values creating a space where clients feel safe being honest and open. I strongly support my clients while also being clear and straightforward in our conversations. My goal is to help clients better understand what they are experiencing and figure out how to move forward in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on helping you feel comfortable and seeing whether working together is a good fit. Even if you have been in therapy before, starting with someone new can be intimidating, and each therapy experience is different. We will talk about what brought you in and what you are hoping for, but there is no pressure to share anything personal before you are ready. The goal of the first session is to begin building trust, understand your needs, and clarify how we can work together to help you reach your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to balance warmth and support with honesty and direction. I help clients feel understood and validated while staying clear and intentional about the work we are doing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am open to working with people at any stage of change. The clients I work best with are open to reflection and willing to have real conversations, even when those conversations feel challenging at times. What matters most is an openness to the process and an understanding that growth and healing take time, not quick fixes.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and strengths-based. I focus on building a trusting, nonjudgmental relationship where clients feel respected and involved in their therapy. Together, we work toward your goals by building on the strengths and skills you already bring, while exploring concerns at a pace that feels right for you.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I utilize exposure and response prevention to support clients in working through anxiety by gradually reducing avoidance and compulsive responses. ERP is collaborative and carefully paced, with an emphasis on building confidence and increasing flexibility rather than pushing clients beyond what feels manageable.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate cognitive behavioral strategies to help clients notice patterns in thoughts and behaviors that may be impacting their emotions or daily functioning. We work together to develop practical tools and coping strategies that support change both in and outside of sessions.
