HI, I'm Julia a clinical therapist working in the behavioral/ mental health field for over 10 years assisting individuals with overcoming obstacles to improve their lives. As an LCPC, I've worked in all levels of care using evidence-based interventions. My passion is supporting individuals with mental and/or behavioral health concerns and those whose lives have been impacted by other factors contributing to ongoing stressors. I use a collaborative approach to help individuals work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and other stressors; supporting individuals so they may find the best path to bring them peace of mind.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be introducing one another, exploring your challenges, and touching on a few other areas. This helps to fully understand the scope of your concerns where we can develop an action plan to focus in the following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist its crucial to understand others. This is why I use a person-centered, strength base, and goal-oriented focus combined with various treatment modalities. I've found this collaborative approach best assists each individual. In addition to being non-judgmental, keeping an open mind, one has the platform to heard, empowered, and heal.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've found that targeting one's thought process, assisting them with identifying unhealthy thought patterns, and providing them with effective coping skills to improve their overall mental health has been most successful with assisting individuals with improving their lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Understanding and even looking at one's thoughts as thoughts vs thoughts that dictate behaviors and emotions really has helped those I've worked with to see different perspectives of how to counter unhealthy thought patterns as well as give individuals the self-empowerment tools needed to find peace on their lifelong journey

Compassion Focused

This is a main ingredient needed with any treatment, for its not only understanding those I work with but demonstrating a deeper understanding of those I work with and providing them self-compassion techniques to give them the self-nurturing them need as well.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is definitely an important treatment tool that offers numerous techniques to help those with not only BPD but also having difficulty with change, tolerance, and or self-improvement.

Gender-affirming therapy

I've worked with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community for several years, providing many with letters needed for gender affirming care along with assisting those in finding the freedom and joy to be who they are.
