I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. I completed my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. I have been actively practicing counseling since then in a variety of settings, including a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, private practice, and in a community agency. I am currently accepting clients during weekdays in the mornings and afternoons.
Throughout the course of my career, I have heard clients say things along the lines of, "I didn't know what to expect," when attending a first therapy session. In my opinion, our first appointment should be very predictable. I will have questions about personal and family history, and life experience. There should be no surprises. I will share about my own professional experience, how I prefer to operate in a therapeutic relationship.
I like to believe that my biggest strength is that I can be a calming influence. It is very valuable to be able to slow down our thoughts and reactions to process our feelings.
I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, anger and grief.

I've been talking with Nate for about 3 months now. He's really helped me reframe the way that I approach a lot of my problems and how I think of myself (for the better!). He's very easy to talk and relate with for me, so there's a lot of authentic discussion about day-to-day life, but he's also good at covering specific practical skills that are improving my ability to deal with problems and regulate my emotions. I've been improving things a lot bit by bit since I've started working with him.

Nathan has been patient and kind. Very easy to work with and is great as listening. He also makes me feel as if I'm an equal, not someone who just has mistakes on a list that's being checked off with each session. Highly recommend and is very good at looking at the entirety of the issues.
