Welcome to my page. I am a psychotherapist based in Baltimore, MD. I have been a therapist for the past 18 years, specializing in men's struggles and LGBTQ+ struggles. I received my masters degree at The University of Vermont, and did my post graduate clinical work at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am happy to work with you, will vest in your success and optimize your strengths.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will review historical and basic statistical data, identify struggles, goals and approaches to be used moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I encourage interpersonal growth as a part of therapy, and a way of life. I have worked with many patients to find hidden potentials, strengths and abilities, as well as identifying obstacles to success, maneuvering through systems, and finding a level of happiness.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work primarily with the LGBTQ+ population, as I am part of the population. I also work with transgender and cisgender men regarding male issues and struggles. I am open to all clients. I utilize many different types of therapy, include EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for trauma based patients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Relearning the process of conceptualizing the struggle can lead to symptom producing reactions.

Adlerian

If you are interested in a more direct and confrontive approach, you may have an interest in Adlerian therapy.

Attachment-based

I have assisted patients to explore insecure attachments or inability to form attachments, and how past experiences have led to current struggles with interpersonal relationships.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Sometimes patients are too close to a struggle to see it objectively. I am happy to assist in setting up a safe space for parents and children to get their ideas, emotions and feedback through to one another to improve communication and relationships.

Couples Counseling

I have a lot of experience assisting couples with setting up mutual goals and practices, becoming clearer in communication and having shared expectations.
