Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I began my journey in the field by completing my undergraduate degree from Penn State in Human Development and Family Studies. I went on to earn my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a Specialization in Counseling. Most recently, I earned a graduate certificate in Addictions Counseling through Purdue. I have 16 years of experience in the field and have specialized experience and training in working with sexual misconduct, addiction, and other problem sexual behaviors. I have experience working with families to build parenting skills as well as repairing familial relationships and attachments. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically sexual trauma and who may have PTSD symptoms. Despite these specific experiences and training in the field, I enjoy working with diverse population of individuals in age and who may be experiencing various difficulties.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be one focuses on building a foundation for a therapeutic relationship, allowing brief introductions. I enjoy being transparent with my clients and discuss the nature of the therapeutic relationship and your expectations of therapy and said relationship. We will dive into what has brought you to therapy and what your goals and aspirations are so that we can collaboratively build a plan for therapy that best meets your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a diverse background in the field having worked with individuals of all ages for the past 16 years. I approach each client relationship with a warm, compassionate nature and believe that each client is the expert in their life, which allows a collaborative therapeutic approach.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I believe that all individuals who seek therapy should be met where they are at. Through an eclectic therapeutic style and approach, I believe that not one intervention fits all and that each therapy session may tailored to meet individuals where they are at on any given day.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Although I use an eclectic approach most often, the foundation of my work remains in the idea that individuals are the expert in their lives and have an inherent nature for motivation to achieve their fullest potential in their life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is built on trust and unconditional positive regard.

Sex Therapy

I have 16 years of specialized training and experience working with individuals who struggle with sexual addiction, sexual misconduct (problematic sexual behavior), and sexual trauma.
