I work with individuals navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and feelings of disconnection or uncertainty. My approach is collaborative and grounded in empathy, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic therapy. Together, we explore underlying patterns, past experiences, and relational dynamics that may be shaping your present, while also developing practical strategies that support lasting change. I aim to balance compassion with thoughtful guidance, meeting you where you are while gently encouraging progress. I approach therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your life; I bring perspective and support to help you make sense of it. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, working toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and emotional well-being. I am committed to offering a steady presence and support you as you navigate change. Central to my work is the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, professional, and attuned to your individual needs. My goal is to support you in building insight, resilience, and a greater sense of alignment in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start building a sense of comfort and trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, any concerns or goals you have, and a bit about your background. There’s no pressure to share everything right away and you can go at your own pace. I may ask some questions to better understand your experiences, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We’ll also go over practical details like confidentiality, scheduling, and how we might work together moving forward. Most importantly, this session is for you to get a feel for whether I’m the right fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, share what matters most to you, and let me know what helps you feel comfortable and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the way I integrate insight, emotional depth, and practical tools into a compassionate, client-centered process. I tailor our work to your unique experiences, identities, and goals. I combine relational and insight-oriented work (like psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches) with present-focused, body-aware techniques (such as polyvagal-informed strategies). This allows clients not only to understand why they feel and behave the way they do, but also to learn how to regulate emotions, navigate stress, and create change in real time. Another defining feature is my emphasis on creating safety, trust, and affirmation within the therapeutic relationship. I create an environment where clients feel respected and supported without judgment. This foundation helps clients engage more fully in the work and build a stronger sense of self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients who are seeking deeper self-understanding and meaningful, lasting change and not just quick fixes, are the clients I am best positioned to serve. These clients are often reflective, and curious about how their past experiences, relationships, and patterns shape their current lives. They may be navigating challenges like anxiety, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, or the impact of past trauma, and are looking for a supportive space to make sense of those experiences. I would be a strong fit for clients who value a collaborative, compassionate approach and want to feel truly seen, respected, and understood. This can include clients who are motivated to improve communication, build more secure relationships, or reconnect with themselves and others. I enjoy supporting clients who are interested in body-based or nervous system informed work, as well as those seeking affirming care around identity, including gender and relational diversity. Overall, my ideal clients are those who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process, build insight, and develop healthier patterns that support their well-being and relationships.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is a type of talk therapy that helps you understand how your past experiences, especially early relationships, may be influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors today. It focuses on exploring patterns in your emotions and relationships, including things that may be outside your immediate awareness. By gaining insight into these deeper patterns, you can better understand yourself and make more intentional choices in your life. Over time, this process can help improve emotional well-being, relationships, and self-awareness.

Gender-affirming therapy

Gender-affirming therapy is a supportive approach that respects and validates your gender identity. It provides a safe space to explore your feelings, experiences, and goals related to gender without judgment or pressure. The focus is on helping you better understand yourself, cope with challenges, and make choices that align with who you are. This type of therapy can also offer support around things like coming out, navigating relationships, or accessing gender-affirming care if that’s something you’re considering.

Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal therapy is an approach that focuses on how your nervous system responds to stress, safety, and connection. It’s based on the idea that your body has built-in states—like feeling calm, anxious, or shut down—that can shape how you think, feel, and react. In therapy, we work on noticing these patterns and using gentle techniques, such as breathing, grounding, and awareness exercises, to help your body feel safer and more regulated. Over time, this can make it easier to manage stress, connect with others, and feel more in control of your responses.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy focuses on how your early relationships—especially with caregivers—have shaped the way you connect with others and experience emotions. In this approach, we explore patterns in your relationships, such as how you handle closeness, trust, or conflict, and how those patterns may have developed over time. The therapy relationship itself is also an important part of the process, offering a safe and consistent space to experience connection and support. Over time, this can help you build more secure, satisfying relationships and a stronger sense of emotional stability.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed therapy is an approach that recognizes how past difficult or overwhelming experiences can affect your thoughts, emotions, and sense of safety. It focuses on creating a supportive, respectful environment where you feel in control of the pace and direction of your healing. In this type of therapy, we prioritize building trust, increasing your sense of safety, and developing skills to manage stress and strong emotions. You won’t be pushed to talk about anything before you’re ready—instead, the goal is to help you feel more stable, empowered, and supported as you work through your experiences.
