Hi and welcome! I believe that people have the ability to heal themselves with guidance. I work to provide gentle guidance in a relaxed meditative atmosphere. I graduated from Loma Linda University in 1999 and have worked many diverse jobs in social work before moving forward to do therapy. I love the process of seeing people grow, attain their goals, and live their dreams.
In our first session together: we will start with introductions, why you choose therapy at this time, and elaborate on the issues you are currently facing. We will then develop a game plan together to tackle these issues head on.
I am an excellent listener and non-judgmental. I have seen and heard a lot of things in both my personal and professional life. I value people. I have a good sense of humor. I facilitate a powerful guided meditation and progressive relaxation exercise to ease anxiety.
I enjoy working with clients who feel stuck in their lives and who want to get unstuck. Whether you are trapped by addiction, depression or anxiety, I love walking through the steps to get unstuck and move forward with my clients as they achieve their goals!
Essentially I listen well paraphrase the issues of concern and using Socratic questions assist the client in specifying both the issue and the kind of outcome they desire
Together we'll identify the negative thought patterns, identify the type of negative thoughts, and work to replace the negative, distorted thought with a more affirm, realistic thought.
