Hello, my name is Jennifer. Are you feeling out of sorts, or have you lost your way? Maybe you are having relationship issues, loss or things that happened in your past. Maybe you are feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed? I have over 13 years of experience in helping others with several life struggles. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist, and a Certified Integrated Mental Health Professional. I am concerned about a person's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. My clients experience me as someone who listens and is willing to help provide skills to help you to have a more positive life journey. I see clients from many different types of backgrounds. I am not only comfortable with seeing individuals, but also families. I am experienced in multiple treatment modalities, and I make sure that we are always focusing on your goals.
A time when we can get to know one another. I will ask many questions and let you know what to expect.
I have been using DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) for several years and several clients have reported to me they continue to use the skills they have learned every day and lead more successful lives. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and 95% of my clients have had much success with dealing with past trauma. With EMDR, I also use another technique called Progressive Counting which has also been proven successful and has quickly helped. TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is also used with young children and adolescents. My background is in Marriage and Family Therapy and I help to mend and strengthen relationships in families.
I feel it is important to help people feel better about their lives quickly. Quick and effective treatment strategies are important.
I work mostly with struggling individuals. Occasionally I work with all mixes of couples who still have hope in their marriage. If you lack any hope, it is hard find any motivational value in therapy.
