In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have a loving, compassionate, and caring attitude towards my patients. I am a good listener and offer well-researched information to my patients (Evidence-based). I offer family-oriented and culturally competent care.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with my patients to improve their mental health and well-being. I am not a provider who will push medications and assume that everything will be fixed with a magic pill. I walk the difficult path and help my patients acquire the resources needed to enhance their mental health recovery. I am a mother and treat every child as if it were my own and every adult as if it were myself. I help fight the Stigma around mental health and let all my patients understand that seeking help is okay and the best way to deal with situations. I emphasize that often, the best service that can be provided to a patient is just being a great listener and bring about smiles with a little sense of humor.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Explain to the patient the steps of acceptance and commitment to treatment and therapy.

It felt like she was pushing her own values onto me. I mentioned dropping out of collage 10 years ago and there was a big push for me to go back. I'm trying to get through the day without a panic attack, going back to school is the last thing on my mind. My therapist also suggested getting a second opinion on the medication prescribed because she had never heard of those medicines being prescribed together.
