Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Southern California. I have a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work. I have been in the field for 12 years and work with people facing a variety of challenges, including those related to health, work, family, life changes, and other stressors that life can bring. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, enhance their coping, and take steps toward positive change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions. We will then dive into what brought you here and what you hope to gain through this process. This will help guide us as we develop a plan for follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

During my years in the field, I have had the privilege of partnering with people facing a variety of challenges to uncover and enhance the strengths, skills, and confidence needed to move through the difficulties they are facing. I have a genuine, collaborative approach that helps create a relaxed space in which clients feel comfortable sharing openly and participating in the therapeutic partnership.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I work collaboratively with clients to explore their story and identify the strengths and skills they already have. We then work together to apply these to current challenges, as well as to continue build upon them.

Motivational Interviewing

The spirit of Motivational Interviewing (MI) involves compassion, acceptance, partnership, and evocation. I strive to keep this spirit at the core of my work with clients. I also use MI skills to support clients in identifying their strengths, uncovering and enhancing their own motivation to change, and determining next steps to move forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) recognizes the strong connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Using CBT techniques, I assist clients in enhancing their understanding of this connection, identifying their thoughts in challenging situations and the resulting emotions and behaviors, challenging and replacing negative thoughts, and building upon coping skills.
