Hello! My name is Crystal Harris. I currently live in Northern California after living in Colorado most of my adult life. I am licensed in both California and Colorado. I have always done some sort of social work since the start of my career. I have worked with many non-profits, including developmental disabilities, multicultural education, community organizing, and community health and Hospice care. In all settings, I have valued the opportunity to work with individuals directly and learn about who they are.
Our first session is an intake session. I ask questions regarding your physical, emotional, and existential health and history. I learn about your presenting problem.
In my work, I integrate evidence-based therapies with flexibility, knowing there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to mental health. I aim to provide validation, encouragement, and practical tools while also making space for creativity, self-expression, and self-advocacy. By focusing on strengths and values, therapy becomes less about masking or conforming to rigid expectations and more about living fully and confidently.
I meet clients where they are at any given time. I am an objective listener who is curious about how someone manages their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Grief Therapy
Grief is used in treatment not as something to eliminate, but as a process to be supported and worked through in order to promote healing and psychological integration. By allowing grief to be experienced and understood, treatment can reduce complicated or prolonged symptoms and support adaptation, resilience, and renewed engagement with life.
