Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Hi, I am Alissa.
Have you ever felt trapped in your own brain? Feel like your emotions are running away with your life? I help individuals to learn how to control their thoughts and emotions so they are able to enrich their lives with relationships, stress, and emotional balance. I am a LCSW who specializes in anxiety, Borderline, depression, relationship issues, and emotional distress among other things. I love to work with the strength base module and a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) model. I believe that therapy is a relationship and that trust is important in order for you to get what you want and need out of therapy.
Hello there, I’m Lus.
Do you miss feeling like yourself? Does it feel like you are going around in circles with the same problems yet can’t seem to find a permanent solution? I guide adults from a person-centered approach to find solutions to their problems when experiencing difficult feelings such as those that come with depression and anxiety. I can help you work through major life transitions (newly married, becoming a parent, empty nester, starting school, grief, becoming ill, divorce, etc.) getting to the root of the problem and developing cognitive behavioral techniques that will get you back to stability. Obtaining therapy services can be intimidating but I can guarantee you that you are making the right decision. I possess bilingual abilities (Spanish), if it's your preference. You deserve your own space to heal and evolve. During our sessions, you will have a safe space where I will meet you with empathy and evidence-based practice. Let me help you.
I am a LCSW practicing in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC since 2010. Therapy is an opportunity for learning and growth, and I have witnessed amazing outcomes for individuals who worked hard in treatment to elicit positive personal change. I have extensive experience as a Crisis Clinician in Emergency Departments, as an outpatient therapy provider, a Mobile Crisis Clinician, a Health Coach, and as an Employee Assistance Program therapist. I am equipped to provide clinical supervision for associate professionals seeking licensure through the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
My passions include helping others to solve problems; as well as deal with various challenges including trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, faith crises, abandonment wounds, and identity experiences; all while promoting integrity and respect.
I particularly enjoy working with first responders, law enforcement, young adults, aging populations and athletes. I love working with anyone who is truly invested in their own healing, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
My 4 legged furry therapy assistants , Banjo and Maisy, may often be seen quietly snoozing in the background during online sessions.
Hey there! Are you feeling a little overwhelmed lately? You’re not alone. Maybe you’ve been juggling a million things, second-guessing yourself, or trying to keep everyone else happy while quietly burning out. If that sounds familiar, I see you and I’d love to help.
I work with millennials, professionals and creatives who are ready to stop running on autopilot and start feeling more connected, calm, and confident in their own skin. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, going through a big life transition, struggling with boundaries, or just feeling “off,” we’ll work together to make sense of it and create space for something new.
In our sessions, you can expect compassion, curiosity, and maybe even a little humor when it fits. I use an integrative approach rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, but I also bring creativity and flexibility into the process because therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are you.
This is your space to breathe, reflect, and grow. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up and we’ll take it from there, together.
Hi there. I'm Abigail McNeely. I am the owner of Wellspring Behavioral Health, founded in 1998, and collaborate with Grow to offer therapy to people like you. Visit my website at www.ibwell.com to learn a bit more about Wellspring.
Let me tell you a little about me. I received my Doctor of Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a Master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Texas in Austin. In addition to graduate coursework, I completed a neuropsychological practicum at Austin State Hospital, a health psychology internship at The Everett Clinic in Everett Washington, and a counseling internship at New Life Institute in Austin, Texas. I approach therapy as a teacher, coach, and cheerleader. My perspective is holistic; that is, I see us as whole beings and believe therapy is best when we remember to acknowledge our complexity.
I started my career as a paramedic in Florida, and Texas. Working in EMS for 15 years with sick and injured people prompted a great interest in the underlying psychological elements that drive us as humans. I learned then that how we respond to difficulties shapes how we endure and recover. I was and am truly amazed at the strength and resilience of people! The privilege of joining with others as they face their challenges has enriched me and I want to share that with you.
In my downtime, I like to hike, camp, play with my pups, love on my cats, and watch the world go by. I have been married for 37 years and am devoted to my spouse and our future.
I have been working in the field of mental health for 14 years. I have experience working with a diverse range of people and mental health disorders. My professional background includes experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and intake hospital setting; non-profit agency setting; and, most recently, private practice. This experience allowed me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families utilizing a variety of unique interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, eye movement desensitization (EMDR), and sand tray. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but I often take a client centered approach when building a trusting relationship with clients. Research shows that people who experience chronic mental health concerns have untreated trauma, which can occur from a variety of different experiences. Of course, trauma does not account for all mental health concerns, so it is important to be able to meet client's where they are at and provide interventions that are helpful to the individual needs of each client.

Greetings to you and all
With a wish for good health and peace in your life.
My name is Sherby John. I have been working and learning along this journey, we call life, just as you have.
It can be a journey filled with joy and struggle. Have you reached a point where it seems there is more struggle than joy or feel stuck in the muck that seems to only get deeper or harder to transgress?
Then maybe it is time to find new paths and options by having a guide on this journey. Therapy can be a vehicle for change and development of workable tools to assist in continuing with this journey. Whether you are dealing with Depression, Life changes, Anxiety, Relationships, Trauma, or a new medical or mental health diagnosis, therapy can be a useful mechanism for support, discernment, and information.
I would like to provide you with a safe and welcoming environment and space to relieve yourself of these stressors through working on alternatives to current reactions to triggers or stressors in the way of continuing your journey, your way and at your own pace.
Come in.
Lets Talk.
Lets get to work.
