Are you looking for your life to be different somehow, but you aren't sure exactly what that would look like, let alone how to make it happen? I can help you identify your most pressing issues, then help you identify solutions that you believe will work and support you while you start to implement changes. I believe you are the most likely person to be able to identify your best solutions, and perhaps all you need is encouragement and acceptance to get started.
I work from a background of existential theory (the idea that our human experiences are shared and we are all looking for meaning, purpose, satisfying relationships, and personal freedom), and I blend cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), motivational interviewing, radical acceptance, and humor (all techniques proven through research to be effective) into my therapy techniques. I aim to be easy to talk to, an excellent and attentive listener, and always supportive. I recommend helpful assignments in between therapy sessions to help you practice new skills and learn hidden aspects about yourself.
I help people who have been codependent on their partner to become empowered to love fully and be loved back. I can help you learn specific techniques to lessen the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances. I believe therapy is about helping you look at yourself honestly, building up the things you love about yourself, and helping you improve the things you wish were different.

Women come to me looking for someone who "gets" what happened to them on a deeper level, because therapy should be a place where you feel safe & validated. Sessions are about more than just talking; we incorporate both your mind & body, so you can experience wholeness again. And we always go at your pace, never pushing to places you don't feel ready to be. Trauma leaves us feeling broken, damaged, and disconnected from our true selves. You may be fed up with feeling triggered in everyday situations, isolated from friends who can't understand, or guilt over what happened to you.
You may not even remember a time you didn't feel like this. Either way, one thing is for sure: you're ready for some relief. You're ready to enjoy deep relationships without your past getting in the way. You're ready to wake up each morning with a purpose. Most of all, you're ready to love yourself again & face your future with a sense of hope.

You can learn and practice the best parenting techniques, and heal the root issues that influence how present and connected you are to your children, and how you respond to them. You will become more knowledgeable and comfortable managing women’s issues and aging, and we can explore spirituality and religion if you like.
I specialize in working with women, parents, children, and families to bring peace, structure, and fun back to your home. I love helping people heal and change through groups and lead an educational/supportive group for women with PTSD. I’m currently finishing my first book, “Heal Your Heart, Heal Your Child: Release Your Trauma to Become the Mom You Want to Be” to help moms break free from unhealthy generational patterns and fully enjoy their children and being a mom. Feel free to check out my website at healyourhearthealyourchild.com.
I’ve had not just professional, but also personal, experience with all of the issues I listed. I’m a mom with ADD with two grown children with ADHD… Been there, done that, I can help you get through it!
I am confident you will learn the skills and tools you need to heal from the emotional wounds you’ve suffered so that you can get out of your own way to reach the goals you’ve set for yourself and be the person you know you can be. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hi everyone, I'm Greg
I understand that emotions can be confusing, relationships can be messy, and past experiences can negatively impact our present lives, however, I believe that with proper coping strategies, we don’t have to remain stuck in dysfunctional patterns. I realize change can be scary and people often remain frozen in place due to the fear of the unknown. While change and acceptance are two concepts that are diametrically opposed, with the right mindset, they can work hand-in-hand to promote growth and healing.
I have been helping clients improve their lives for over two decades. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtaining my Masters of Social Work through Indiana University and my Doctorate of Social Work through Capella University. My doctoral capstone project researched the use of Integrated Treatment to effectively treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders using a holistic approach to treat these disorders simultaneously, as oftentimes, the root causes of addiction are comingled with other underlying mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or grief. I believe that treating both conditions simultaneously brings about the best chance of success for lasting healing and recovery.
Before obtaining my doctoral degree, I spent two decades working at a community mental health center through its emergency services department. This experience provided the opportunity to work with diverse clients struggling with all manner of concerns. Additionally, I spent the past six years working part-time at an addiction recovery center treating clients individually, in groups, and with their family systems to help combat the disease of addiction. As a result of these opportunities, I am experienced in all manners of mental health, as well as addiction counseling, family counseling, and grief counseling.
