I am a somatic clinician with 20 years of experience, but more importantly, I am a fellow traveler. For two decades, I navigated severe chronic pain and debilitating anxiety. True healing only began when I stopped looking for quick fixes and committed to a deep excavation of my own nervous system. By integrating mind-body medicine with cyclical consciousness, I dismantled my adaptive survival habits and moved into permanent, physical restoration. Today, my mission is to help you reclaim your biological sovereignty, heal physical invalidation, and stop the cycle of self-gaslighting that modern culture demands. My Approach: The Attuned Feminine Protocol In our virtual sanctuary, we step off the industrial clock to honor your body's natural internal seasons and guide you out of chronic survival loops. Together, we utilize: Somatic Restoration & Grief Work: Using PRT, JournalSpeak, tapping, and breathwork, we clear the hidden vaults where suppressed stress is stored. We hold sacred space for lament, giving somatic release to ancestral, ambiguous, and deeply held losses. Cyclical Consciousness: We weave menstrual cycle awareness and John Mbiti’s philosophy of time into our space, allowing you to align with your natural rhythm rather than rigid, high-production demands. Deep Excavation & Dreamwork: We use depth psychology and dreamwork to safely explore your Zamani—the historical blueprint of your life—to rescue and integrate the vulnerable parts of you left behind. If you are ready to rewrite your core values and protect your imagination, this space is open to you. Liminal Space Sessions: To honor diverse rhythms of rest, I offer unique late-night and pre-dawn virtual sessions—providing a quiet, still sanctuary for deep healing before the industrial clock demands your day.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

What to Expect: Our First Session Your initial session is a warm, welcoming, collaborative consultation designed to establish an immediate baseline of psychological and physiological safety. Together, we will look at the chronic stress, burnout, or mind-body symptoms that brought you here, exploring how they intersect with your current lifecycle and relational history. Using a blend of depth psychology and nervous system regulation, we will begin identifying long-standing survival scripts without forcing premature behavioral optimization. Your Baseline Assessment Tools To map out our path forward, we utilize five baseline tools. These are not designed to measure fleeting moods; they are designed to expose the architectural blueprints of internal conflict, revealing how historical invalidation has hardened into cellular, somatic threat: 1. ACES & TAQ (Developmental Trauma Mapping): Explores early childhood adversity and your deeper developmental blueprint. 2. PIES (Perceived Invalidation of Emotion Scale): Measures the degree to which your emotional experiences have been judged as invalid by the world around you. 3. PTCI (Posttraumatic Cognitions Inventory): Maps out deep-seated patterns of self-blame and negative beliefs about the self and the world. 4. PHQ-15 (Somatic Symptom Severity): Tracks the physical expressions of distress—such as chronic pain, GI issues, headaches, and fatigue. Note: We also deploy the standard PHQ-9 and GAD-7 biweekly as real-time trackers for depression and anxiety. Client Referrals & Clinical Scope It is vital for your healing journey that we are a true clinical match. Because of the deeply reflective nature of this depth-somatic work and my unique late-night/pre-dawn schedule, my practice is not an appropriate fit for individuals requiring acute stabilization, high-frequency medical monitoring, or crisis intervention. I do not accept clients who are currently experiencing, navigating, or seeking: Active suicidal ideation or self-harm Active psychoses or severe substance dependence Active eating disorders/severe disordered eating patterns Active domestic violence, intimate partner violence, or imminent safety risks within the home Active court involvement, family court/forensic documentation, disability claims, or workers' compensation evaluations Jurisdictional Note: Due to strict licensing board regulations, you must be physically located within my state(s) of licensure during our virtual sessions. If during our initial consultation or assessment process it becomes clear that your needs require a different style of care, a traditional daytime schedule, or crisis stabilization, I reserve the right to decline enrollment. Clients facing these specific challenges are far better served by traditional daytime practices, intensive outpatient programs, or multidisciplinary teams that can provide immediate care coordination during standard business hours. If you require these services, I am fully committed to providing appropriate referral resources to ensure you connect with the right level of support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Most therapy focuses on managing symptoms or analyzing the past. My work is different: I combine somatic psychotherapy with depth psychology to help you stop "fixing" yourself and start reclaiming your internal authority. Here is how I hold space for your healing: We Work with Your Biology, Not Just Your Thoughts: Chronic pain, anxiety, and depression are stored in your nervous system. Using Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), we teach your brain to stop misinterpreting safe body signals as threats, effectively turning off the alarm system driving chronic symptoms. Radical Emotional Unburdening: Through JournalSpeak, we use targeted, expressive writing to evacuate the raw fury, terror, and grief you’ve had to suppress to survive. This isn’t casual journaling; it is a surgical tool for clearing your nervous system. Reclaiming Internal Archetypes: We heal the divide between your wounded Inner Daughter and your sovereign Attuned Mother. By replacing self-criticism with fierce self-protection, we mend the foundational ruptures fueling your dysregulation. Honoring Your Natural Rhythms: We decouple healing from the industrial clock of constant productivity. By integrating cyclical consciousness, menstrual cycle charting, and John Mbiti’s philosophy of time, we map your unique biological seasons, honoring rest and expansion as vital strengths. Holding the Container To support this depth of work, we move beyond the rushed constraints of a typical appointment. While our direct virtual clinical session fits standard therapeutic structures, clients are expected to set aside a full 90-minute window for our work. This ensures you have the necessary, uninterrupted threshold before and after our face-to-face time for your somatic and emotional integration to fully unfold.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My work is designed for those who are ready to move beyond "performing" their lives and begin reclaiming their internal authority. Whether you are a young adult navigating the pressures of identity formation or an individual managing the physical weight of long-held stress, this space is for anyone ready to bridge the gap between their nervous system and their authentic self. This space is a strong match if... Your body has started to speak: You are experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, or somatic anxiety that traditional medicine has failed to fully resolve. The linear path has failed: You are utterly exhausted by the demand to be constantly productive and seek a cyclical, nature-based approach to your wellness. The internal environment feels hostile: You are ready to shift from self-judgment to compassionate self-leadership, cultivating an internal, protective sovereignty. Your Mindset and Goals Ready for the descent: You understand that true healing requires sitting with the raw, unfiltered truth of your story to reclaim and integrate the parts of yourself you have been taught to fear. You value somatic truth: You recognize that feelings are physiological events. You are committed to somatic unburdening—using tools like JournalSpeak and PRT to clear the "biological vaults" where suppressed emotions live. You seek long-term sovereignty: You recognize that rewriting the architecture of the nervous system is not a quick fix. My work is designed for those who are ready to honor the natural seasons of deep change and invest in a comprehensive, year-long journey toward physical and emotional restoration. If you are ready to lean into the "winter landscape"—understanding that grief, anger, and shadow-work are the essential seeds of your freedom—you are welcome here. Let us tend to the sanctuary of your own skin.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) I utilize Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help you break the "danger loop" that keeps chronic symptoms active. Rather than treating pain as a permanent physical condition, we approach it as a misinterpretation by the nervous system. By teaching your brain to accurately identify bodily sensations as safe, we can effectively deactivate the alarm system driving chronic physical pain, anxiety, and depression. (Credential: Freedom from Chronic Pain, Enduring Practitioner - Trainer: Dr. Howard Schubiner) Expressive Writing: JournalSpeak I incorporate JournalSpeak as a primary clinical tool for somatic unburdening. Many of my clients have spent years "performing" their lives, suppressing raw, unfiltered emotional states just to remain functional. I provide a sacred, un-curated container where that suppressed energy—the fury, the terror, the grief—can be safely evacuated. By moving these emotions out of your body and onto the page, we prevent them from becoming trapped in the physical "vaults" of your muscles and organs. Cyclical Consciousness & Menstrual Cycle Charting For those with a cycling physiology, the menstrual cycle is an internal compass and a somatic clock. By incorporating cycle charting and menstrual awareness into our work, we track your monthly hormonal fluctuations to map out your body’s natural seasons of high energy, deep introspection, and necessary rest. This practice allows us to align your healing process with your actual biology, transforming what modern culture labels a "liability" into your greatest source of intuitive feedback and sustainable pacing. (Credential: Certified Menstruality Mentor – Red School Menstruality Leadership Programme )

Jungian

My approach operates at the intersection of depth psychology and somatic medicine. While many clinical practices focus on surface-level symptom management, I believe that lasting healing requires looking into the "biological vaults" of the body and the "mythological architecture" of the psyche. Here is how depth psychology informs our work together: Archetypal Mapping: I help you identify and map the "characters" running your internal script—such as your inner critic, your wounded daughter, or your sovereign mother archetype. By bringing these unconscious patterns into view, you can reclaim your internal authority from them. The Unconscious as a Resource: I treat your unconscious mind not as a pathology to be solved, but as a profound source of wisdom. Through tools like Dreamwork, we listen to the night-language of the psyche to uncover the "lost gold" hidden within your Zamani (your historical blueprint). (Certificate: Dreamwork Theatre's Online Dreamwork Course) From "Fixing" to Integration: Depth psychology teaches us that we cannot simply cut out parts of ourselves. My approach involves safely rehabilitating these survival scripts—turning a harsh, critical voice into a protective guardian, and welcoming your vulnerable parts back into a sovereign, integrated life.

Somatic

To help your body move out of chronic survival loops and into a state of safety, I integrate three foundational somatic pillars into our work: Somatic Psychology: I use somatic psychology as a foundational language for healing. Instead of just analyzing your thoughts, we learn to listen to your body’s wisdom. I view physical symptoms not as medical problems to be managed, but as "biological vaults" where suppressed emotions and historical scripts are stored, waiting to be safely discharged. Intentional Breathwork: Breathwork is a powerful, direct line of communication to your autonomic nervous system. By shifting the rhythm and depth of your breathing, you can manually override physical tension and send an immediate biological signal to your brain that you are safe, discharging trapped stress in real-time. Emotional Precision (The Feelings Wheel): To retrain your brain’s alarm system, we must identify exactly what your body is experiencing. Moving from blanket terms like "stressed" or "hurting," we use the Feelings Wheel to trace your state from its core out to its most nuanced edge. Shifting from a vague "I feel sad" to the somatic truth of "I feel discarded" is often the exact key required for a true physiological release and emotional completion. Sacred Lament & The Technology of Grief (Doctoral Research Focus): In our culture, grief is often treated as an illness to cure or an inconvenience to rush through. Drawing from my doctoral research on the historical and clinical purpose of lament, I view it as an essential, hardwired psychological technology for survival and release. Sacred Lament is the intentional process of giving voice to what has been lost, broken, or historically invalidated. When we deny ourselves the space to lament, that unexpressed sorrow calcifies into chronic somatic pain and systemic nervous system exhaustion. By creating a dedicated container for vocalizing collective and individual grief, we allow the psyche to complete its natural cycles, transforming trapped agony into a profound, grounding baseline of personal liberation. By integrating these frameworks, we ensure that our sessions move beyond simple intellectual analysis. Together, we facilitate a permanent, physical shift in how you inhabit your own skin.

Psychoeducation

The Landscape of Psychoeducation: Making Sense of Your System True healing requires understanding the rules of the terrain you are navigating. Throughout our work, I provide clear, grounded psychoeducation so you can become the conscious narrator of your own healing. We will break down three core pillars of how your body and psyche process survival: The Anatomy of the Danger Loop (Neuroplastic Pain): You will learn how chronic physical pain, anxiety, and depression are often not signs of tissue damage, but an overprotective brain stuck in a predictive "alarm loop." By understanding the neuroscience of neuroplasticity, you learn how to structurally retrain your brain's alarm center to recognize that your body is safe. The Architecture of Suppressed Emotion: We explore how the body processes unexpressed feelings. When society or early history demands that you "perform" or suppress your raw truth, that emotional energy doesn't disappear—it is forced into the body's physical vaults. Psychoeducation helps you identify exactly how your specific symptoms (like GI issues, muscle tension, or fatigue) are acting as a physical shield against unfelt grief or fury. The Wisdom of Your Internal Seasons: For those with a cycling physiology, we deconstruct the modern myth of linear productivity. You will learn the bio-psycho-social science behind your monthly hormonal shifts, discovering how to read your body's natural transitions through different psychological seasons so you can stop fighting your biology and start pacing your life sustainably. The Ecology of Time (Sasa vs. Zamani): Modern culture forces us into a strict, linear timeline where the past is considered dead and gone. Drawing from African philosophy and John S. Mbiti's framework of time, I teach you how your psyche actually experiences time cyclically. We look at how historical events, early survival scripts, and unvocalized losses aren't just "in the past" (Zamani)—they actively shape, populate, and pattern your immediate, living present (Sasa). Understanding this allows you to stop punishing yourself for "not being over it yet" and instead learn how to safely untangle the past from your current reality.
