Guided Solutions offers Sex Therapy! The treatment focus is collaborative. You are part of your own growth and change. I am here to support you through that. We will work with Sexual issues related to intimacy, arousal, dysfunctions, disabilities, identity, kink and more. I am open and comfortable with topics that some other therapists may not be. I want to be a source of support for you and/or your partner(s). I am also here to support issues that are not related to Sex Therapy, such as Anxiety, Depressed mood, and relationship issues.
As an interactive therapist, our first meeting will allow to get to know each other and our personalities. I will be conducting an initial assessment for insurance but also to understand you better. My hope is to make you feel comfortable and supported. I offer a strength-based approach and work with my clients to meet their needs. I have a good sense of humor when appropriate and enjoy using anecdotal stories to connect and normalize emotions and behaviors.
I have a wealth of experiences in previous careers, from Social Work to teaching through High Schools and College settings. I have worked in Out-patient treatment programs focusing on Parenting, and Dual diagnosis. I will offer referrals as needed and offer supportive books, videos or articles when requested. I want to get to know you to help you navigate changes in perceptions and experiences so you can feel that therapy is a benefit.
Human sexuality, including but not limited to identity, intimacy, kink, relationship status, gender identity, disability, religiosity and trauma, informs us of who we are, want to be and choose to be in our individual autonomous and connected relationships. I offer a safe and welcoming environment to allow my clients to process and grow both emotionally and in their sexual health. I am here to support and guide language and communication, while offering psycho-education when needed. I work with individuals, couples and poly relationships. In addition, I also work with parents of children with special developmental and/or physical challenges to support and educate their journey in ways to communicate sexual health with their children.
I believe that with Strength-based focus and utilizing reframing of language, we can challenge and find value in ourselves to create new perceptions, experiences and long lasting change. If our self-esteem is low and we devalue or have negative self talk, we don't always have the awareness or energy to make changes. I will work with getting to know about how your past informed you and focus on what you are capable of in the here and now.
