New clients continue care with this provider

Hi, my name is Joanna. I am available to meet with you via TeleHealth. I have a friendly and welcoming laid-back approach. I am nonjudgmental, compassionate and supportive. If you feel disconnected from your authentic self, I can help you find your way home. We will work together to find freedom from unhelpful thoughts and unsupportive behavior patterns. I am trauma-informed and trained. I also have specialized training in recovering from unhealthy and emotionally immature relationships. I can teach you more about your mind, body and emotions but you are the expert and I would be honored to be a fellow traveler on this life journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First sessions can be awkward sometimes, but we'll get through it. Let's focus on getting to know one and another and we'll be comfortable before you know it.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a wounded healer. I deeply understand how you feel on a very personal level. My trauma history and recovery drives me to pay it forward to anyone suffering. All parts of you are welcome at our table. Let's develop more self-compassion together.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am open to working with people of all backgrounds.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I support clients with identifying their core values and creating more alignment with what is truly important to them.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore and understand the different "parts" of themselves—such as protective, wounded, or reactive parts—with curiosity and compassion. I guide clients in connecting with their core Self, which serves as a calm, wise inner leader, and support them in healing inner conflicts by fostering harmony among their parts. Through this process, clients can achieve greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and internal alignment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use the person-centered approach to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply heard, accepted, and valued. I offer empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard to support clients in exploring their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. By trusting in their innate capacity for growth and self-understanding, I help clients to move toward greater self-acceptance and personal fulfillment.
