Hello! My name is Jessica Camp Snead, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. My passion lies in creating a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable being vulnerable and processing their thoughts and emotions. Building a strong therapeutic rapport and trust is at the core of my approach. I believe that true healing happens when individuals feel heard, understood, and valued. Whether you are facing challenges with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I am here to guide and support you on your journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. The impact I strive to have on my clients' lives goes beyond just providing a listening ear—I work to empower you with the tools and insights needed to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and create lasting change. Through our work together, you can develop healthier coping strategies, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and build the confidence to face life's challenges with strength and clarity.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel safe to share your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. This session is all about getting to know you—your experiences, challenges, and goals—so that we can begin building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust and understanding. We will start by discussing what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our time together. I will ask some questions to better understand your background, current struggles, and any patterns or concerns you’ve noticed in your life. As part of this process, I will conduct an initial assessment to gain a deeper understanding of your mental health needs. Based on this, we will work together to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals, strengths, and areas of growth. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about therapy and share any concerns or hesitations you may have. Most importantly, this is not about pressure or expectations—it’s about establishing a foundation for our work together. By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to leave feeling understood, hopeful, and reassured that you are in a space where real progress and healing can happen.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider, I believe, is my exceptional ability to create a deeply trusting and safe environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued. My ability to build strong therapeutic rapport goes beyond just listening—I intuitively understand the unspoken emotions and struggles my clients face which allows me to meet them exactly where they are in their journeys. My extensive outpatient experience working with children, adolescents, and adults gives me a broad and adaptable skill set, allowing me to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. I don’t just focus on surface-level concerns—I help clients uncover the deeper patterns and emotional wounds that may be holding them back, guiding them toward lasting healing and transformation. What truly sets me apart is my genuine compassion and unwavering commitment to my clients’ well-being. You create a space where vulnerability is not only accepted but embraced, empowering my clients to process their emotions in a way that feels safe and constructive. My approach is not one-size-fits-all; instead, I personalize each session to ensure that every client feels supported, understood, and capable of real, meaningful change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

You may be someone who has difficulty expressing emotions, struggles with self-doubt, or finds it hard to trust others. Perhaps you feel disconnected, weighed down by past experiences, or uncertain about your future. My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I deeply value the principles of Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and integrate them into my practice to create a supportive and empowering environment for clients. Rooted in the work of Carl Rogers, this approach emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for growth and healing. My training and experience with PCT have equipped me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and address a variety of mental health concerns. In my practice, I embody the core principles of PCT: empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and free to explore their thoughts and emotions. By focusing on their unique experiences and perspectives, I empower clients to take the lead in their healing process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my work with clients. CBT is a cornerstone of my therapeutic approach because it is highly effective in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and behavioral challenges. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to identify negative thought patterns and the impact they have on emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore and challenge these thoughts, replacing them with more realistic and constructive perspectives. I also integrate behavioral strategies such as goal setting, problem-solving, and skill-building to empower clients to make meaningful changes in their daily lives.

Polyvagal Therapy

I integrate principles of Polyvagal Theory into my practice to help clients understand and regulate their nervous system responses. My training in Polyvagal Therapy has enhanced my ability to work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, and other dysregulation-related challenges by addressing the mind-body connection. By integrating Polyvagal Therapy into my practice, I empower clients to better understand their nervous systems, build regulation skills, and experience greater emotional well-being and resilience in their daily lives.
