Hello my name is Donnalise Wilson am a Licensed Professional Counselor I have close to 15 total in the mental health field and licensed for the last 5 years. I have experience helping children/adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and grief and loss. I have practiced in multiple settings such as; group therapy, in patient hospital, outpatient individual therapy, residential treatment facilities and schools.
In our first session we will complete an intake. In the intake session we will discuss some brief history into your previous mental health experiences. If this is your first time coming to therapy no worries. I will ask about your physical health history, overall childhood experiences, education and vocational histories. We will discuss your strengths as well as some struggles and what is the reason you are looking for help at this time in your life. Next, we will begin to create a plan to work toward throughout the treatment journey.
My greatest strengths are my authenticity, ability to hold a safe space, and apply a down to earth approach to help and healing.
I am excited to work with anyone who is committed to do the sometimes hard but very necessary work it takes toward growth and healing.
