My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) over 29 years to assist clients with understanding how their thoughts can lead to feelings. I’ve used this treatment method to explain to clients how their irrational thoughts can lead to negative feelings.

Motivational Interviewing

I have worked with individuals struggling with addiction and sex offenses. By using motivational interviewing, I was able to elicit and explore a client’s own reasons for change while demonstrating compassion and acceptance.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As an outpatient therapist, I utilized Solution Focused Brief Treatment by using positive psychology to help clients develop solutions rather than focusing on problems.
