LCSW, 12 years of experience
With both personal and clinical experience working through trauma, anxiety and grief, I am most passionate about working through trauma and grief. I know what it is like to feel desperate. I know what it's like to wake up in the morning and wish I hadn't. I know what it's like to lose hope. And I know what it's like to gather bits and pieces of myself and seek professional help. With that help and through my faith, I've found hope and slowly put pieces of me together again. If I can find hope, if I can laugh and love again, you can too.
You can expect an empathetic and encouraging ear. I want you to know that you are not alone.
My greatest strength is my resilience and empathy based on overcoming complex trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety. My faith and a good therapist have often grounded me and served as a guide to wellness. I am a proud Black woman from the heart of Dixie. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother. I am an auntie and a grandmother. Wearing those hats and adjusting them until they fit are strengths as well.
Women who know we've got work to do and are ready to do the work.
'We listen and we don't judge'. We can all benefit from an empathic ear...
I utilize empathic listening and education as a guide trhough the grief process.
