I help individuals looking to heal, restore and rebuild when life has presented challenging circumstances that take away from one's mental health. Together, we can create and identify your personal goals, strengths, talents, and accomplishments to build the changes you want to bring to your life. I will show you how to utilize techniques to help you ground, calm, empower and identify choices. Whether you are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, displacement, adjustment or burnout you can heal and restore. Seeking therapy is the big first step in change. You deserve to express and share your personal story in a safe and respectful interaction. Our sessions together will utilize the best of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other modalities that are evidence-based so you can heal and build up your mental health tailored to your specific needs to have the confidence, peace and joy you deserve. I look forward to working with you. Thank You, Peggy

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will consist of reviewing your intake sheet to make sure I have important background information. Then I want to hear what has been happening that has caused mental distress. We will identify your personal goals that you want to accomplish with therapy and discuss some of the treatment plans and options available during our sessions to meet those goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Being authentic, respectful, and truthful are the cornerstones of what I bring to a session. I strive to build a therapeutic relationship that allows for a safe space to accept and love self. The skill I have been complimented for by past clients has been their ability to explore their emotions and thinking in a safe and judgment free space.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Gottman's feeling wheel to build up our vocabulary of feelings and the circumstances that trigger specific feelings. I help client's build empowerment by changing behaviors that allow them to tap into their choices within a circumstance allowing change to take place in how a client thinks and feels towards a circumstance.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize the best of person-centered therapy to build respect and trust within the therapeutic relationship to lay the foundation to bring in other method styles to meet the needs of my clients.
