I am Hamida Majili, a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner Board Certified (PMHNP-BC). I have been in the healthcare field for over 14 years. Throughout my personal and career life, I have embraced diverse populations and strive to create a safe space for all, regardless of gender, religion, diagnosis, race/ethnicity, or sexual orientation. We may not know how you feel, but we are here to listen, help identify your needs and resources as well as help you develop your goals to overcome life challenges. You are not alone; call MCC today and let us support you and most importantly, let us help you build an individualized plan towards the road to your recovery and wellness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session with a client is typically focused on establishing rapport, gathering a detailed psychiatric and medical history. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My Care Clinic (MCC) team focuses on person-centered care approaches and helping patients and families bridge the gap in mental health services, such as providing individualized treatment plan, medication management, reducing mental health stigma, and providing access to care and resources.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

With the holistic approach, MCC incorporates evidence–based practice for patients of all ages and mental health and substance use disorders. We help patients manage several conditions, such as depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, dementia, substance use disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia, sleep, eating disorders, panic attacks, and more.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I integrate into my practice to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. By focusing on identifying and altering negative thought patterns, I help patients develop healthier ways of thinking and coping strategies. My personalized approach includes techniques like cognitive restructuring and behavioral activation, aiming to empower patients with practical tools for long-term mental well-being and resilience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have substantial experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I utilize to support patients dealing with complex emotional and behavioral challenges, such as borderline personality disorder, severe emotional dysregulation, and self-harming behaviors. My approach integrates DBT's core components, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, to help patients build resilience and improve their quality of life. I work collaboratively with patients to develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, enhancing relationships, and navigating life's difficulties. By incorporating DBT into my practice, I provide a structured and supportive framework that empowers individuals to achieve meaningful change and cultivate a more balanced, fulfilling life.

Grief Therapy

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in grief therapy, drawing on extensive experience to support individuals through their unique journeys of loss and bereavement. I provide compassionate and tailored care to help patients navigate the complexities of grief, whether they are dealing with the death of a loved one, significant life changes, or other forms of loss. My approach includes utilizing evidence-based techniques such as narrative therapy, cognitive restructuring, and emotional processing to help patients understand and cope with their feelings. By creating a safe and empathetic space, I guide patients in exploring their grief, finding meaning, and gradually rebuilding their lives. My goal is to support each patient in moving forward with resilience and hope, while honoring their personal experiences of loss.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have extensive experience with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which I use to help individuals and couples address and resolve emotional issues that impact their relationships and well-being. EFT focuses on identifying and processing core emotions, fostering emotional bonding, and improving communication. In my practice, I guide patients through understanding and expressing their emotions, working to strengthen their connections and create healthier patterns of interaction. By integrating EFT, I help clients build secure, supportive relationships and develop effective strategies for managing their emotions. My approach aims to provide a compassionate, structured framework that empowers individuals and couples to achieve lasting emotional growth and relational satisfaction.

Interpersonal

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have significant experience with Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), which I integrate into my practice to address the complex interplay between emotional difficulties and interpersonal relationships. IPT is particularly effective for treating mood disorders such as depression and anxiety by focusing on improving communication skills, resolving interpersonal conflicts, and enhancing social support networks. In my practice, I work closely with patients to identify and address relationship issues, whether they involve family, friends, or romantic partners. By helping patients navigate these relationships and build stronger, more supportive connections, I aim to alleviate symptoms and foster overall emotional well-being. My goal is to empower patients with practical tools and insights that enhance their interpersonal interactions and contribute to long-term mental health and satisfaction.
