Ronika Burton
I am a clinical social worker who is passionate about meeting my client where they are in order to understand both their context and motivation for treatment. I am passionate about working with clients from all different backgrounds and I love being a familiar face for African American clients.
My heart is in working with the Black community in order to normalize and encourage utilization of mental health services.
I have worked in the psychiatric hospital system, the prison system, and in the community as a behavioral health consultant so I have experience with a wide range of presenting problems. I am looking forward to working one on one with clients long-term in a therapeutic setting.
First session
In our first session we will get to know one another and identify what areas of your life you want to work on improving. We will work together to develop a treatment plan and set specific goals to work towards.
Strengths
My heart is in working with the Black community in order to normalize and encourage utilization of mental health services. I love to provide psychoeducation on anxiety, depression, and somatic symptoms of these conditions which many people do not often realize they are experiencing.

My ideal client is motivated and open to treatment to address anxiety, depression, situational stress, interpersonal concerns, and difficulty prioritizing self care.
