Hi there, I'm Angela. I truly believe the journey you are on is far greater than the season you are walking through. Adjusting to life in a post pandemic world has left many learning to cope with the unknown; unknown stress, unknown career paths, unknown relationships, unknown trauma, unknown sense of self. Sometimes these unknowns cause increased anxiety, depressive states, low self esteem, stress in relationships and loss of direction. You are capable of embracing the unknowns to build your new life, even if it appears to be far different than you planned. You have the power. We just need to grow it. My core motivation is meeting you where you are and empowering you to reach your most authentic and centered life. Getting this far shows you have the innate ability to make this life work for you. I want to provide you a safe, non-judgmental and empowering space to build upon your strengths and process what is keeping you from living your best life. I look forward to partnering with you and watching you grow. Please note that appointment requests are not confirmed until personal confirmation from Angela is received. Grow's calendar is not properly synced with New Life Therapy Center's office calendar.
In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions then dive right into our intake diagnostic assessment to learn your personal history and what you would like to work on in treatment. We will also develop a treatment plan together where you can discuss your goals and priorities in more detail.
In my practice, I have learned the answer for one is not the answer for all. We will work together utilizing narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma focused therapy or mindfulness practices to unlock your full potential. We will focus on the whole person to make sustainable and life improving changes.
My greatest strength is my ability to create a safe, natural environment for my clients to work through their daily or traumatic life stresses. I also assist my clients in addressing triggers that may not be solely related to emotional responses. Is financial stress driving your depression and relationship issues? Let's learn to budget. Are you struggling with communicating needs with your partner? Let's practice the conversation and discuss areas of strength/struggle. I believe that while past life experiences may be driving current triggers, we can not get to that part of your treatment until we work with what is happening in your life currently. What are your stresses and how can we manage those so we can then focus on healing?
Clients motivated for change, depression, trauma history, anxiety, college students, adults, children 8 and up
