Erin O'Connor
Hello! I’m Erin O'Connor, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in mental health and wellness. I specialize in working with women and high-functioning professionals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.
I specialize in working with women and high-functioning professionals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.
Through a compassionate, holistic approach that blends evidence-based care with mindfulness and emotional regulation strategies, I help my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, reclaim your peace, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
First session
Our sessions will focus on understanding your symptoms, reviewing your mental health history, and exploring how medication and lifestyle changes can support your overall well-being. During our time together, we’ll discuss what’s working, what’s not, and adjust your treatment plan as needed to help you feel more stable and in control. While I offer a supportive and empathetic space, my role is centered around psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and symptom monitoring with supportive therapy. If additional therapeutic support is needed, I can help refer you to trusted therapists for ongoing counseling.
Strengths
What sets my approach apart is the balance of clinical expertise with a calm, compassionate presence that helps clients feel safe, seen, and truly understood. I take time to listen without judgment, explain medication options clearly, and collaborate closely with each client to find a plan that fits their lifestyle and goals. Clients often tell me they feel more empowered, emotionally grounded, and relieved after working with me—because they’re finally getting the support they need without feeling rushed, dismissed, or overwhelmed. My goal is to help you feel better, function better, and reclaim your peace—one step at a time.
Ideal clients
Many of my clients have tried to manage on their own for a long time and are now open to exploring how psychiatric medication, combined with supportive therapy and mindfulness-based tools, can help them feel more balanced and in control. I take a collaborative, compassionate approach to medication management—educating clients on their options, monitoring closely, and making adjustments as needed to support both symptom relief and long-term well-being. My ideal clients are ready to find a treatment plan that truly supports their mental health and daily functioning.
Treatment methods
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help patients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. I guide them in practices such as mindful breathing, grounding techniques, and body scans to reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and increase present-moment awareness. By integrating mindfulness into our sessions and encouraging daily practice, patients learn to respond to stressors with clarity and calm rather than reactivity, which supports their overall healing and mental wellness.
