(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker -Clinical and Board Approved Supervisor based in Maryland. I have been working in the mental health and human service profession for 10+ years in various settings. I have provided direct psychotherapy for 4+ years. I collaborate with young adults who struggle with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, life transitions, and relationship/attachment issues. I look forward to working with individuals who are considering to explore and continue their journey to wellness. I provide a safe space to collaborate, empower and aid individuals seeking self actualization. Manage stress, increase understanding, improve communication and connection skills and enhance overall wellbeing.
In our first session together we will engage in introductions, explore background and discuss presenting problems. We will collaborate in order to develop an individualized treatment plan based on your current therapeutic goals. We will discuss therapeutic expectations, history and preferences.
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to build rapport, connection, apply evidenced based framework according to clients needs and drive measurable progress towards goals.
I enjoy working with young adults including minorities, people from diverse and marginalized backgrounds. Individuals who are willing to become fully engaged, open minded to developing new skills that mitigate stress, anxiety, depression and the maladaptive behaviors associated. Individuals who are cycle breakers looking to recognize and change dysfunctional behaviors.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps identify and solve specific problems by recognizing unhelpful, negative and irrational thoughts that contribute to distress. I have experience with helping engaged clients decrease negative thought pattens and improve emotional well-being.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps shift the often negative self talk tied to uncomfortable emotions. I have experience with helping clients to identify and accept situational challenges and engage behaviorally in alignment with their current goals and values.
Daialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy treatment techniques. Clients who struggle with intense emotions can use DBT skills to improve emotional regulation, improve stress tolerance and learn to use mindfulness.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma Informed Care helps individuals identify the connection between their past to present. I use this approach to empower clients in regaining control through cultivating a sense of safety, acknowledgement and reconnection back to self.
