I have a passion for working in adolescent mental health. I Acquire exceptional clinical skills, training and knowledge at treating and supporting teens and their parents with trying to navigate the task of adolescent, developmental milestones. Often, many adolescents are faced with milestones as trying to establish their identity, autonomy and since of belonging.At the same time, they are seeking a healthy balance between the forces of differentiation and separation while trying to maintain a healthy attachment to their secure base. Each adolescent experiences navigating these developmental tasks in various context that is unique to their own growing personality. During this milestone, for some parents, the task can be daunting/challenging , and can look like: parenting/boundaries problems, School/academia problems, social/romantic relational problems, parent/peer conflict, negative peer influence, ADHD, Conduct Disorder, ODD, depression, self-harm, SI, LGBTQ+ issues, teen substance use, bullying, gaming/social media disorder, Etc. I have extensive training and experience using Attachment Base Family Therapy Model. I've spent years utilizing this treatment model as a Primary Therapist in Residential Treatment Programs for adolescents boys and girls. In my experience, I have observed families and individuals experienced successful therapy outcomes using this method an have gone on to have healthier relationships. I apply this model in my practice by Identifying the client attachment style and attachment ruptures while assessing and assisting the Client at repairing those attachment ruptures. My approach is gaining an understanding and insight into the content and context of the family's dynamic by assessing the presenting problem while exploring the underlying causation of the attachment rupture and symptoms. I aim to shift the attachment theme to assist the patient in exploring consequences of attachment ruptures while eliciting and amplifying a desire for a healthier self and relationships as the goal of therapy.
I have extensive training and experience using CBT in my 11 plus years of providing psychotherapy. I assist clients with assessing how their thoughts impact feelings that ultimately become behaviors. My goal is to help the client identify and to recognize unhealthy thinking patterns. Catch the thought, assess the thoughts, and challenge the thought for facts or evidence or accuracy. This approach helps to reduce the individual problematic, cognitive rumination. This method can ultimately change the individual unhealthy behavior so help the individual can move towards their goals.

I utilize DBT particularly to provide skills for managing intense emotions and negotiating social relationships, depression, substance use, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety SI to curb the self-destructive impulses of chronic self harm, suicidal patients, and borderline personality disorder. I assist the client using the four components of implementing DBT: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

The client can experience strength improvement, resiliency and change their worldview to one that is more positive.
