New to Grow
I am a therapist who work with individual navigating anxiety, stress trauma and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, warm and down to earth. I believe that therapy should be a nonjudgmental space where individuals can navigate real life challenges that are impacting their lives. Along with evidence based practices, I offer a space for exploring the emotional, mental and spiritual aspect of healing guided by personal belief and comfort level. Together, we will work to understand patterns, build resilience and create meaningful life changes.
In the first session, my priority is to establish trust, build rapport and a sense of safety so that individuals will feel comfortable sharing at their own pace. I will review confidentiality, learn about concerns, history, assess what the individuals hope to gain from therapy and collaboratively identify initial goals. I aim for individuals to feel heard, supported and have a clear understanding of the process.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to build a meaningful therapeutic alliance. I create a safe space for individuals while also helping them actively build skills and make meaningful changes.
I enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-reflection and willing to engage in the process, particularly clients navigating anxiety, trauma and life challenges where i can integrate a trauma-informed approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help build insight and coping skills. In essence, I value working with a diverse range of clients and adapt my approach to each individual.
Trauma Informed Care
With trauma informed care, I prioritize safety, trust and client empowerment in all aspects of treatment. I focus on pacing, avoiding re-traumatization and helping clients feel empowered while building skills and processing experiences at a level that feels comfortable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I focus on the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I use CBT to help individuals identify unhelpful thinking patterns, help individuals to understand how thoughts influence their emotional responses and develop more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving.
