Do you need guidance in finding happiness and fulfillment in your life? Do you need someone who can help find your strengths? Are you having trouble achieving healthy relationships because of childhood wounds, traumatic experiences or low self esteem? I believe that your past experience made you who you are today. What happened to you will always be a part of you, but it should not define you. I'm here to help you process your past and together we will plan your future. Don't leave yourself alone with your suffering. Let's work together to find meaningful purpose in your life's turmoil. Emotional and psychological traumas happen to everyone. It can be caused by a one time event, ongoing relentless stress or commonly overlooked events such as work, death, break-up/divorce, surgery, humiliating experience or childhood attachment wounds. Working through trauma alone is daunting, lonely, re-traumatizing. A trauma specialist can help with your healing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is centered on building a strong, trusting foundation. This is your space to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and the changes you would like to see in your life as a result of trauma-focused therapy. We will clarify your goals, explore your current challenges, and begin identifying the strengths and resilience you already carry. My intention is to help you feel understood, supported, and hopeful — and to remind you that healing is possible. This is the beginning of your journey toward clarity, confidence, and freedom from the weight of the past. You don’t have to do it alone.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a former medic for 13 years, a yoga and mindfulness practitioner & a leader of a community that empowers women, my approach is humanistic, person centered & mindfulness based. My methods are: IFS, CBT, Mindfulness Based and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Let me help you show up as your true authentic self.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
first responders, healthcare professionals, creatives, teachers, entrepreneurs, immigrants, Asian Americans and Black and Brown Individuals.
Trauma-Focused CBT
Educating the client and their family about trauma and its impact on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS therapy is a deeply compassionate and effective approach that empowers clients to understand and heal their internal systems, fostering self-leadership and inner harmony. Help the client recognize when parts are activated in daily life and encourage them to respond from their Self rather than react automatically. Suggest practices like pausing and internally asking, “Which part of me is feeling this way right now, and what does it need?” to cultivate ongoing awareness and integration of IFS principles.
Prolonged Exposure Therapy
PE is based on decades of research and is designed to help individuals process traumatic memories rather than avoid them. Avoidance is what keeps PTSD symptoms alive. PE helps the brain and nervous system fully digest what happened so the memory becomes integrated instead of triggering.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness-based trauma therapy to help clients gently reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and build awareness without judgment. Trauma often keeps us stuck in survival mode — either reliving the past or bracing for the future. Mindfulness helps bring us back to the present moment, where healing can actually occur.
