I received my bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, master's degree from Rowan University and post master's degree from Rowan University as well.
First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then get into more specific details as to why you are seeking therapy at this time. This will help me create a treatment plan that is based solely on your needs/goals.
Strengths
Having worked with youth and adolescents for over 10 years both in the school, outpatient, and partial hospital level of care, I have extensive experience assisting youth with developing strategies to better manage their emotions and challenge negative thinking patterns. I have also worked with adults struggling to navigate increased stressors and challenges leading to depression, anxiety, and inability to cope.
Ideal clients
I love working with youth and adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as parents/adults struggling to manage stress/anxiety as well as family issues. I have worked in a school setting as a therapist with students from ages 14-18 as well as for a partial hospital program for adolescents ages 10-18. In addition, I have worked with families, facilitating direct support and developing plans to best assist with family development. I provide individual therapy for adults struggling to manage depression and anxiety, specifically parents looking for help with managing their own stressors including work, family, and relationships.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using CBT with both children/adolescents as well as adults for the past 10 years to help individuals identify negative thoughts, challenge, and change them.
