Kacie Brown
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a certified school counselor who works with individuals at all stages of life. I have been licensed in the state of Pennsylvania for five years and have worked within the mental health world in community outpatient settings for eight years. I currently am employed full time as a school counselor for middle and high school students. My daily work in the school system has strengthened my connection to adolescents and given me a deep appreciation for the complex pressures today’s youth experience. I enjoy helping teens find their voice, build resilience, and develop tools that support both emotional and academic success. In therapy, I take a compassionate and collaborative approach, honoring each client’s unique story. While adolescents are a special focus of mine, I value working with clients of all ages and believe every person deserves a safe space to explore their experiences and move toward growth. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.
First session
In our first session, my focus is on building rapport and creating a comfortable, collaborative space where you can feel at ease. We’ll take time to get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, and explore your goals at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and understood from the very beginning so we can build a strong foundation for our work together.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, personable, and welcoming environment. I show up authentically, with understanding and openness, which helps clients feel comfortable quickly. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful tools for growth, and I strive to build a connection that feels safe, supportive, and genuinely collaborative. Clients often tell me they appreciate how approachable and nonjudgmental I am—qualities that allow them to explore difficult experiences with trust and confidence.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is open-minded and willing to explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity. You don’t need to have everything figured out—just a willingness to learn about yourself and try new approaches that support your growth. I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to show up authentically, even if they’re unsure where to start. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, personal identity, or a major life transition, I value clients who are open to reflection, honest conversation, and building healthier habits over time. Together, we can create a space where you feel empowered, supported, and encouraged to move toward meaningful change.
Treatment methods
Integrative
I use an integrative approach because I believe each person deserves a therapy experience that fits who they are—not the other way around. I blend elements of CBT, mindfulness, person-centered care, and trauma-informed practice depending on what you need in the moment. This flexibility has helped my clients feel safe, seen, and supported while still gaining practical tools to navigate daily life. Over time, I’ve seen clients grow more connected to themselves, feel more grounded, and make meaningful changes that align with their values and goals.
