Hello!! My name is Brittanee! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I have approx 8 years in the field and have worked with children, adolescents, families, adults, and seniors in a variety of settings. I have experience with treating anxiety, depression, stress, and other mood disorders. I began my career in mental health because I firmly believe everyone deserves access to improve the quality of their life in every aspect, including spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. I want to join you in creating a quality life for yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and begin rapport building. I want to know your reasoning for engaging in therapy, goals and motivation, specific challenges you've encountered, and begin formulating a treatment plan. Each session, we are working on how to meet your goals and how you feel you can be best supported.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have had the privilege of working with different groups of people, all diverse in their background and needs, and I am passionate about supporting the client where they are. Aside from my clinical experience, my greatest strengths include me being open-minded, an active listener, and personable.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I want to work with clients who are open-minded, ages 16-50 with mild to moderate acuity.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families from all backgrounds to help manage stress/anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations and other stressors in different settings from family homes to psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities, and senior centers. I approach clients with empathy, directness, with a collaborative nature. I have used DBT and CBT in previous work environments, and want to work with clients to choose the best method to address their primary concerns and focus on how to use their positive attributes and qualities to promote growth.

Psychoeducation

It is imperative I am on the same page with my client, and that I provide education about their presenting symptoms, how to understand them, and effectively cope.
