I have been a licensed clinician for almost 10 years. I have worked with many types of patients who have struggled with varying degrees of anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, struggles with infertility and pregnancy losses, mood disorders and instability, and history of trauma, among other mental health conditions.

I have also had my own history of infertility, pregnancy loss, and trauma I feel helps build rapport with patients when discussing these issues.

I specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectal Behavior Therapy as well as being certified in Trauma therapy to help my patients overcome their challenges in life.

First session

First session is an evaluation to determine treatment needs and goals, concerns that brought them to therapy, history of trauma, begin to develop treatment plan. Primarily an overview of the client and therapy needs.

Strengths

I believe in being a direct clinician with patients, and a free flow of communication to ensure all needs are met. Feedback is important from both sides, as well as accountability. I cater each session and treatment plan to the patient and their individual needs. I have also had my own history of infertility, pregnancy loss, and trauma I feel helps build rapport with patients when discussing these issues.

Ideal clients

Clients of any age over 18, married or single, in need of behavioral changes and support, any history of trauma, women with pregnany related issues such as losses and/ or infertility. clients with mood disorders, anxiety, depression. anyone who seems ready to make positive growth and change for themselves.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When working with patients the primary focus to identify negative cognitions and behaviors that are contributing to the negative mental state. Once identified we work on making changes and setting goals that are achievable and leave room for growth to continue on their positive path even once therapy has ended.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Similar to CBT, DBT is used to help when someone feels emotions so intensly that it interferes with daily functioning. We will work on helping you to learn to manage emotions in appropriate ways. We work on helping to accept the reality of life and behaviors so that healthy changes can be made.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Many people experience trauma across different stages of life. We will focus on identifying your specific history and treatment needs, to learn to work through the trauma and learn to live a healthier life.

Jessica is the best therapist I've ever had. And I've had 7. She is kind, direct, funny, and somehow always knows exactly what I need from her in that session, whether it's solutions or just a listening ear. Highly recommend choosing Jessica as your therapist if you're thinking about it.

Started session shaking and nervous to start therapy, ended the session feeling excited to work towards healing. She does a very good job at asking questions to help you determine what you are looking for from therapy during your first session, if you struggle with bad anxiety and are scared to start therapy she does a very good job at making you feel safe and she is also funny so that helps too.
