Miki Webber
Hello, and welcome! I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 30 years of experience in mental health and community-based care. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing complex and high-acuity challenges, and I understand that seeking help can sometimes feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.
I work with adults of all ages, specializing in treating women and supporting them through various life transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and beyond.
I have a special interest in reproductive psychiatry, women’s mental health, and trauma-informed care. I support women through important life transitions, including pregnancy, the postpartum period, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. I believe mental health care should be individualized. Together, we will take the time to understand your experiences, identify your goals, and develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. Whether you are seeking support for a new concern, navigating a major life transition, or managing a long-standing mental health condition, I am here to help you move toward greater stability, wellness, and quality of life.
First session
Here’s a warmer, more client-focused version that emphasizes what someone will actually **leave the first session with**: Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to treatment. I’ll listen carefully to your concerns, experiences, and goals while learning about your mental health and personal history, including any experiences of trauma that may be affecting your life today. Together, we’ll explore your current symptoms and how they may be impacting your relationships, work, sleep, emotional well-being, and day-to-day life. If relevant, we’ll also discuss women’s and reproductive mental health, including the ways pregnancy, postpartum changes, perimenopause, or menopause may affect your emotional health. By the end of our first session, you should have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your current difficulties and what treatment options may be helpful. We’ll discuss recommendations collaboratively, which may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, or other supportive approaches. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful—with a clearer sense of direction and a treatment plan that reflects **your** needs and goals.
Strengths
With more than 30 years of experience in community mental health, I bring a broad and integrated perspective to every session. My background as a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) allows me to consider both the emotional and physical aspects of mental health. I am also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), with specialized expertise in women’s mental health across the lifespan. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe that feeling safe, heard, and respected is essential to meaningful treatment. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I take the time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, concerns, and goals. I view treatment as a collaborative process. Whether we are considering medication, lifestyle factors, emotional well-being, or the challenges of a major life transition, I work with you to develop an individualized plan that feels realistic and meaningful. My goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to help you better understand yourself, regain a sense of control, and build a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Treatment methods
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is at the core of my approach. I recognize that trauma can affect not only mental health, but also physical health, relationships, self-esteem, and the way we understand and respond to the world around us. In our sessions, I prioritize creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where you have a voice in your treatment. I work collaboratively with you rather than making assumptions about your experiences or telling you what you “should” do. We move at a pace that feels manageable, with an emphasis on building trust, understanding your strengths, and restoring a sense of control and empowerment. I also recognize that trauma does not always come from one specific event. Life experiences, relationships, medical experiences, reproductive challenges, loss, and other forms of adversity can have lasting effects. I consider these experiences when understanding your symptoms and developing an individualized treatment plan. Whether you are seeking help with trauma, anxiety, depression, reproductive or women's mental health concerns, or a difficult life transition, my goal is to help you feel understood and supported while developing practical tools for healing, resilience, and a life that feels worth living.
