I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I received my Masters degree as a PMHNP-BC from Rutgers University in 2018. Since working under the umbrella of mental health since I was an RN (Hampton University graduate) having overall experience for 15yrs including 7 years and current as an APN, I believe with a pinch of mustard seed faith, time, patience and effort, the road to improving mental illness becomes less cluttered and more clear. My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration. I believe treatment works best when it feels like a true partnership, and I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel respected and understood. I work closely with each person to provide thorough psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnoses, and tailored treatment plans that may include medication management.
Our first session will focus on getting a complete picture of your history and current concerns. I’ll take time to listen and understand your experiences so we can make an accurate diagnosis and decide on the best course of treatment together. This may include prescribing medication, but our conversations will always go beyond symptoms—I want to understand you as a whole person.
I always let clients know that We work as a team and although you present with symptoms of a diagnosis- You are not your diagnosis. I see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. My role is to walk alongside you, combining my clinical expertise with your lived experience, so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits your needs.
I work with adults ages 21 and older who are navigating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and schizophrenia. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication prescribing, medication management, and personalized treatment plans. My goal is to support you in finding clarity, stability, and hope as you move toward better mental health.
