Do you ever feel stuck in a cycle of anxiety, depression, low motivation, or addiction—wanting change but unsure where to begin? Many people feel overwhelmed, isolated, or mentally drained at times, yet still carry a deep desire for clarity, stability, and a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I believe that there is no health without mental health. My approach is holistic and person-centered, combining thoughtful medication management with supportive therapeutic guidance to help you make meaningful, sustainable progress. Healing is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each treatment plan to align with your unique needs, values, and lifestyle. My goal is to help you move from surviving to genuinely living—one step, one insight, one healthier choice at a time.
Our first session is a comprehensive and collaborative evaluation focused on understanding you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. We’ll discuss what’s bringing you in, your mental health history, current concerns, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments or medications. This is also a time for you to ask questions and share what you hope to gain from care. If medication is appropriate, we’ll review options together, including benefits, potential side effects, and what to expect moving forward. My goal is to create a clear, thoughtful treatment plan that aligns with your needs, preferences, and daily responsibilities. I strive to make the first visit feel supportive, unrushed, and approachable. Many clients come in feeling nervous or uncertain, and that’s completely okay. By the end of our session, you can expect to leave with a better understanding of your mental health, next steps, and a plan we’ve created together.
I'm known for creating a compassionate and non-judgmental space for a healing journey where people could feel truly heard and where their full story could be a part of their care.
I am best positioned to serve adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, trauma, or substance use. Many of my clients are high-functioning and successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer align with their goals. I work well with individuals who are motivated for change and are ready to address mental health factors. My patients are often seeking clarity, stability, improved functioning, and a sustainable path toward recovery—not just short-term symptom relief. Whether you are new to psychiatric care or looking for a more attentive and collaborative experience, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where your concerns are taken seriously, and your treatment is tailored to your unique needs, lifestyle, and goals.

Valentina is geniunely a kind and friendly doctor. thank you for helping me, and providing great solutions and life advice. I feel that she has dealt with me in a compassionate and caring manner when others took a much harsher tone or tried to force their opinions to me and would thus, we never made improvements. With Valentina Ira, we adjusted my medicine absolutely brilliantly and now im taking more vitamins and wanting to be healthy again.

She is light hearted. She took my info and wrapped all up in a nut shell. She recommended a healthy start with new medications focusing on lowering my fat and sugar levels. I tried all medications she recommended and I'm a happy, willing patient.
