Making yourself a priority is the first step and I am grateful you are considering working with me. I have more than 22 years in the mental health field as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with adults from many different backgrounds and in a variety of settings, including a correctional facility. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma, and substance use. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, skills, and techniques because I believe that no two people are alike and that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. My goal is to work collaboratively with each person to understand their unique needs and find strategies that feel meaningful and helpful to them. I value the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and recognize that every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges to the therapeutic process. While I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, I have a particular interest in supporting first responders and their families. My professional experiences have given me a deeper understanding of the unique demands that come with first-responder careers and the ways those demands can affect individuals, relationships, and families. I believe therapy can provide a supportive and welcoming space to work through those challenges, gain a better understanding of yourself, and develop tools to help you move forward. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and meet your goals.
During our first meeting, I will review the therapy process and address any concerns you may have. I will then spend time asking some questions that will allow me to gathering information in order to get to know you and better understand your circumstances. Next, we will explore what brought you to therapy and what expectations you may have during our time together. All of this information will help us work together to tailor a plan to meet your specific your needs and guide the direction of therapy.
As a therapist, I take my time to really understand my clients needs. I provide a safe and compassionate environment where clients can be open and honest even with things that can feel embarrassing, shameful, or unmanageable.
I enjoy working with adults who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives and are willing to explore new perspectives, skills, and strategies. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel comfortable being open and honest about their thoughts, feelings, and current challenges. I value a collaborative approach and work with each client to identify practical tools and strategies that fit their individual needs, goals, and circumstances.

Integrative therapy is a flexible approach to therapy that combines a variety of techniques, theories, and common factors from different psychological perspectives to fit an individual's unique needs. CBT is based in the idea that the connection between our thoughts and feelings lead to certain behaviors. Resulting in a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Mindfulness therapy uses techniques to bring a person into the present moment, which helps individuals break automatic emotional and cognitive patterns. This therapeutic approach can be used along with other modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-directed therapeutic approach that builds on client strengths and future possibilities rather than analyzing past problems. This therapy focuses more on problems solving and finding solutions.

She is so authentic and really helps to think of realistic ways to handle my struggles and to also understand my struggles as well. She kind, funny, and is easy to talk to and to be open with!
