New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you feel seen, supported, and able to show up as you are. I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine respect for each person’s story, while also helping clients work toward greater clarity, healing, and growth. My approach is collaborative and personalized, with care that honors your experiences, values, and the unique path that has shaped who you are.
In our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and talking through what brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I will ask questions about your current concerns, your personal history, the ways you have been coping, and what you hope to gain from therapy, while also making space for whatever feels most important for you to share. This first meeting is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether I am the right fit for you. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little less alone in whatever you are carrying. There is no pressure to share everything all at once, and you do not need to have it all figured out before you begin. We will move at a pace that feels manageable, and if all of your questions are not answered in the first session, that is completely okay. I welcome questions at any point in our work together.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a space where people feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and empowered enough to grow. I bring warmth, compassion, and my authentic self into the therapy room, which means my approach is not cookie cutter. I believe therapy works best when it feels real, relational, and tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I help clients look at patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, while also supporting them in moving through life with more clarity, intention, and self-understanding. What makes me unique is that I bring both professional training and a deep respect for the lived experiences that shape who we are. I make it a priority to understand and respect each client’s cultural background, values, and worldview so that therapy feels relevant, affirming, and supportive of the whole person. I am thoughtful about integrating aspects of a client’s culture into the therapeutic process when appropriate, because I understand that healing does not happen in a vacuum. My background and experiences allow me to meet clients with both empathy and insight, while tailoring therapy to their individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, more confident in themselves, and better able to show up for their lives in ways that feel true to who they are.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using CBT with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and are going through life transitions. While I also adapt other models or an integrative approach, depending on individual's needs, I use CBT often to help individuals understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and when unhealthy patterns form and stunt their progress towards change. I help people notice unhelpful thinking, build healthier coping skills, and make small, realistic changes in their daily lives. I value CBT because it is practical, effective, and gives clients tools they can continue using outside of therapy.
