About me

I am a licensed professional counselor who is a Christian. I understand how important it is to have a Christian counselor. If this is something you want to integrate into your counseling process I am able to do this and can use the Bible and your relationship with God to help you with whatever struggles you have. Integrating God and your beliefs is not a requirement to have counseling, but it is something I can offer. You can be yourself without fear of judgment when working with me. I respect your faith and denominational differences. I don’t have an agenda nor am I preachy. I strive to assist clients with bouncing back from life experiences such as trauma, identity/ spiritual issues and parenting. I provide support and encouragement for working on goals that address topics such as strategies for surviving trauma, healthy ways to manage anxiety and depression, tools for building self-esteem, and more. Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you don't suffer from depression, anxiety, stress, etch…

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and heal from distressing memories. It allows clients to reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences and move toward meaningful recovery.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we explore how thoughts influence emotions and actions, and build practical coping skills to reduce distress and improve daily functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT focuses on balancing acceptance and change. It helps clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and effective communication.
