Dr. Rashidat Akinsanya
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 3 years, and I am also a board certified adult nurse practitioner for over 10 years. I began my nursing career graduating from university of MD with my bachelors, and then attended Johns Hopkins University for my masters. I decided to further my education by attending Brandman University to obtain my Doctorate and psychiatric mental health certification in 2018. I focus on treating patients with a variety of mental health conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Substance use disorder. I offer virtual appointments; I believe that tele-psych therapy and medication management sessions have been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy and medication management. I work in collaboration with the patient to ensure the best possible outcome in relieving suffering. It will be a pleasure to work with you to address any behavioral needs.
