Welcome! As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I am here to help you uncover your best self As each individual is unique, so should be the therapeutic process. My philosophy is that the client is the hero on their own journey, and I am there to assist them in reaching their goals and full potential. Confronting challenges can be difficult. However, if you commit to the process and give yourself the freedom to explore your inner world, amazing results can happen. Let’s work to help you feel better, enhance your relationship, address conflicts, improve communication, intimacy, and respect in a confidential space with a caring professional.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session will be focused on getting to know one another. You probably have questions, maybe feel a bit nervous, and wonder what therapy is all about. Perhaps you have already had therapy in the past and you are curious how this will be different. Let's talk about it! Beginning to introduce your goals and challenges is a good place to start. Others want to see if the therapeutic relationship is conducive to their healing. What you will find is a judgement-free experience focused on you. C.S. Lewis once said, "There is no such thing as an ordinary person." You are extraordinary, and I am excited to learn how I can help you grow.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have dedicated myself to be a life-long learner of human behavior with a deep desire to help others understand themselves. My approach is truly client-centered. You have your unique story that shaped you. Therefore, there is no one-size-fits-all therapy intervention or modality. While I have robust training in many aspects of this field, the greatest progress comes from the relationship between therapist and client. Humanistic
My method is a client-centered, talk based approach that emphasizes drive toward healing and self-actualization. The goal is to overcome obstacles with your inherent strengths to exact positive change. My philosophy is that the client is the hero on their own journey, and I am here to assist them with accomplishing their goals and full potential.
Psychodynamic
By exploring unconscious drives, material, past events and relationships, we learn to gain self-awareness, improve relationships, and learn skills to create lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is the backbone of good therapeutic interventions. With this modality, we see how thoughts influence behaviors, gain self-knowledge, and learn essential skills to create new thoughts for desired outcomes.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Sometimes we need a short-term, goal-focused approach. SFBT identifies main goals or issues that you wish to resolve and works on it in brief, focused segments.
Existential
Therapy is more than symptom-reduction. Through the use of dialogue, we work together to build insight, focus on freewill and self-determination, and ultimately help you find meaning in your life. This is a foundational approach to my therapeutic approach, so that you can move from surviving to thriving.
