Hi! My name is Angela (Angi) Olson. I have 20 years experience as a licensed clinical social worker. I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds in assessment, crisis management, and brief therapy, and I am now branching out into virtual therapy work. I try to create a safe space for people to be their authentic selves so that we can work together to heal and to grow. I am licensed and based in Michigan, and am also licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Some of my favorite quotes: • “No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.” — Marsha P. Johnson • “We deserve to experience love fully, equally, without shame and without compromise.” — Elliot Page • “Who you are is beautiful and amazing.” — Laverne Cox • “Hope will never be silent.” — Harvey Milk • “I hope that people feel like themselves when they’re around me and feel safe to be themselves when they’re around me. And maybe that makes people think it’s me that they love, but it’s really themselves that they love.” - Tracee Ellis Ross
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I want to hear about what is important to you, what strengths you have and what challenges you want to focus on in our time together. I will stand with you and support you in making and coping with changes in life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I create a warm, welcoming space and will meet you where you are at and support you in moving to where you want to be.
