Let's take a journey together! You're the driver on this road trip that we will take together; as the therapist/co-pilot, I will help you navigate and explore, work through those bumps and winding curves in the road, and maybe find alternative ways to get to the destination. Maybe you're finding yourself stuck in the "mud," just spinning your wheels with the same patterns of thinking? Or maybe you're approaching a detour or having difficulty navigating all the potholes along the same road? These potholes being relationship issues, cycles of anxiety and/or depression, or just low self-esteem. It seems pretty overwhelming, scary, or impossible to get to the destination but with the right tools, mindset, and curiosity we will tackle your goals together. I believe you are the expert on your life, which is why you're in the driver's seat. I know it's pretty daunting, but I'm here and ready to join you for this adventure.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I get it: this is scary. Starting therapy is a leap of faith, whether it's your first time or not. Your first session is the time we get to know each other, look at what kind of goals you'd like to consider, and have fun in the process. As we continue to travel on our journey, we'll work to change strengths into tools. I'm here to support you, encourage you, and work with you to help you see your real potential, as I believe everyone has the strength and ability to work through struggles and part of this process is gaining that awareness.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

My approach to therapy has always been from a Cognitive Behavioral standpoint with some Systems Theory as the foundation. I really believe that the individual (you) is part of a multitude of systems, such as the family, school, peer groups, work, community, and so on. We think, feel, and behave in ways that represent and reflect how we are managing our self within those systems. With all of this, my focus is you, the client, and meeting you wherever you are in that moment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My background is in Marriage and Family Therapy, which has always been the framework I work through. I have grown to find that working with teenagers and young adults is where I want to be, as this phase of life is beyond challenging and the importance of connection and support is paramount.
